We live and work in a wonderful part of the world and every spare moment is spent out and about the fells

The kids and I all enjoy running the dogs in harness, it has become a very much family affair, sharing the dogs, and training and racing them together.

We all like to back pack and are often found "on the tops" making the most of the view.

We are a small working kennel based in the Lake District. I have been lucky enough to have dogs all my life, howver it wasn't until 8 years ago I had the time and space to devote to my childhood dream dog, the Malamute. My dream has now become a family passion and I couldn't imagine a day going by without a Mal to head out to the hills with, be it in harness or just for a day back packing. We were very very honoured to be able to bring Patience (AM CH Nanuke's Patience is a virtue) into our fold (along side Jayne from Windberg) in the summer of 2007, she is the newest member of the Skidalmal team, and you will meet her on the trails or in the show ring in 2008.
