My love of dogs began back when I was a child, my grandparents always had shelties, I always dreamed of having a rough collie when I was old enough. I was never allowed a dog of my own whilst I lived at home so I used to befriend stray dogs and take them home only to be told to take them back to where I had found them.
I now live in Surrey with my husband and four children. I purchased my first dog a Border Collie Berri (Clywdcelyn China Doll) in 2005, she is such a sweetie. I then purchased my second Border Collie Ben (Fernhaven Lasting Legacy) in 2008 who is a lovely boy who likes nothing more than being fussed. My dream of having the Rough Collie that I always wanted came true in 2010 when I purchased Laddie from the PELIDO kennels, a stunning boy who loves children.
As Ben has such lovely looks and temperament I decided to get him HIP scored, health tested and advertised him for stud. Last year he sired a litter of beautiful puppies. I couldn't resist the temptation so I kept a beautiful Lilac & White bitch Tia (Shambeanys Legacy Princess).
Ben's HIP score is 7/2, he has had an adult eye examination for CEA, PRA and glaucoma and is unaffected. Ben has been Optigen tested clear/normal for CEA, TNS and CL.
My dogs are first and foremost much loved family pets, they all live in the house with my husband, myself, four children and two cats. I am training in agility with Berri and hope to get some competition experience this year. I am training in obedience with Tia and intend to do agility with her when she's old enough. It is also my intention to breed Tia subject to satisfactory HIP score.
