My name is Heather Turner and i've been showing and breeding Border Collies for 20 years. I also judge Border Collies at Championship level and am so looking forward to Judging at the first Border collie National in Australia in April 2006.
Ourkennel has bred 3 champions including the breed's first and only Full champion Ch Locheil Look north who sadly died Dec 2004, at 15 years old. we've also bred CC winners for other exhibitors and winners in Obedience, Working Trials, sheepdog Trials, agility and excellent SARDA search and rescue dogs working in the Scottish Mountains.

Any puppies I breed, I am responsible for and I will take back if need be, at any stage of their life. I'm also always available on the telephone or by email for any help/questions I can give. I work at home so my dogs are never left alone for any long periods of time.

We are lucky enough now, to have owners coming back to me, for a second puppy having enjoyed their first Locheil for 13/14 years. its great, most of my puppy owners become good friends with me and stay in touch.

all my dogs used for breeding have all the health checks done, hips, eyes and DNA testing, they also have very good temperaments.

The forests around our home are where most of walks take place, the dogs have such FUN.

I also do some TV work with them. the BBC! kids programme 'Jess the Border Collie' the dogs in this series were all bred by me and, the Bc's on Monarch of the Glen were Locheil's too.

Visitors are always welcome!

Nova!

Nova!

this is why, we have to be scrubbed and scrubed for the shows!!!!!!!!!!!

Our kennel is situated in the Scottish Highlands, our dogs have a lovely life enjoying the freedom and space to run. I don't get to as many shows as I would like to due to the distance involved, but when we manage to attend, we generally do fairly well.
I am also very happy to sell quality puppies to other exhibitors and am delighted when they enjoy success with them.
