PALTON GOLDEN RETRIEVERS

Palton Golden Retrievers live with James and I in Trimpley, Worcestershire. We had our first Golden Retriever back in 1973, sadly Bridie was an unregistered bitch and therefore was unable to be shown or bred, but she was a wonderful friend and companion. In 1980 we bought another bitch Contessa of Palton (Tranquillity Token of Regina ex Mornmist Quelle Belle) who we had great success with in the ring and obedience and later went on to be the foundation bitch of Palton Goldens.

Our dogs are pets and much loved, but also are working dogs, capable of a days picking up in the shooting season which they love to do. They are the true dual-purpose golden. Able to be a wonderful house dog, companion, show and working dog with the true golden temperament.

Also living with Palton Goldens are our Bernese Mountain Dogs, sadly we lost Pepper in 2009 at the age of eight. We now her daughter and granddaughter. We do hope to breed in the future. We do not show them much nowadays as out time is taken up by showing our goldens, but I will always have a Bernese or two. They like our goldens also have wonderful temperaments, and excellent hip and elbow scores. We do have one male Bernese Arinley Made to Measure for Palton who was successfully shown qualifying for Crufts and has proven to be a successful stud dog, but now at the age of seven is retired. Having produced several litters of quality puppies of show quality with excellent markings, and the typical Bernese temperament.

I have always admired the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and in March 2007 we bought Meka. She qualified for Crufts in 2008/2009/2010. We also now have Meka's daughter who has a wonderful temperament and is a little gem. Puppies sometimes available. Puppy enquiries welcome.
