Stroma Northern Star over Roucandane (Baggie)

Roucandane Great Danes really began with Stroma Northern Star, Baggie, We had owned a Dane bitch since 1985, but never shown or bred.
When she died, in 1994,we were fortunate enough to find Mrs Audry Farquhar,of Stroma Great Danes, and purchase a fantastic fawn male, he won extensively at Open and Championship level, and was the most wonderful ambassador of the breed.
Baggie not only did us proud in the show ring, but was the foundation male of our kennels, everything i have acheved, I owe to him, he was a once in a life time Great Dane, and when he left us age 10, he left a great big space in my heart that no other Dane will ever quite fill.

After I started showing Baggie, I decided that one Dane just wasn't enough! I looked around at what I liked in the ring, and went to Gary Hooker, and John Lockey's Garsak Kennels for a brindle bitch, Garsak Valentino. Later we added a beautiful fawn bitch from the late John Hunters' Khunrath Kennels, Khunrath Whispering Mist, and the Roucandane line was established.
Both bitches were shown with success, Jazz, notching up a RCC, but they both earned their place in the Roucandane history book in the whelping box.
Jazz, Khunrath Whispering Mist, produced my first champion, CH Roucandane Charlie Farlie JW, and Pasha, Garsak Valentino, was the grandmother of my 3rd champion, and top brindle 2005 2006 2007, Ch Roucandane Tiger Dawn. Both bitches figure behind Ch Roucandane Spirit in the Sky.
Champion Roucandane Tiger Dawn (Inca)

Inca, Ch. Roucandane Tiger Dawn was, for a number of years, the only UK champion brindle in the show ring, she was a Super League finalist, and runner up on the night, and is the only brindle winner of the Berevale Triple Crown cup.
She delighted us by winning Open Bitch at Crufts in 2006 amongst strong UK and continental competition, (and all those Fawns!!)
