Breeders of:

  • Labrador Retriever

My love of labradors began when I was 5 years old with a black puppy called Tina. They say the dog picks you and she certainly did ! My mum wanted me to have a yellow one but out of the litter of black and yellow she came bounding over to me and my heart was lost to her ! she was my best friend through thick and thin for 13 years and I still miss her today.

It was some years later that I was able to have another dog, we travelled alot with the military but I wanted my children to experience the love a dog can bring. Molly came to us in February 2003, she was so cute and easy to train, a gem of a puppy. I kept in contact with the breeder and on one such visit set my heart on a yellow puppy we called Jenna.....totally opposite to Molly, we nicknamed her "wild child" she was such hard work, but it was worth it in the end. I first started looking into breeding when Jenna was 3 years old, it had always been an ambition of mine but I was never in a position to do it. After doing all the research and then health screening, her hip scores came back above the recommended score, I was bitterly disappointed. After further consideration and alot of thinking I decided to look for another lab suitable for breeding, although first and foremost she is a family member, all of my dogs are, and so along came Lizzie. With alot of help and support from a breeder with years of experience I was finally able to see it through. It has been nearly four years in the planning and some hiccups along the way but Lizzies first litter was born the end of July 2011

My kennel name may sound strange to some but if you look behind the meaning, not so strange after all and quite fitting. It is derived from the first 2 letters of my children's names...Monica, Michael and Megan and depending upon how you pronounce it, it sounds like "mommy" the American way of saying mummy and being as their dad is American, it sounds just about right.!

I have thought long and hard about breeding, and will carefully vet the potential new owners of my puppies, I would sooner be left with them all than let them go to anyone.

RUBY : Momime's Kansas City Chief the new addition to the family, the only female out of a litter of 9 she certainly lives upto her name she was the chief of all the boys and kept them in check! Very placid and a dream to live with lets hope she will be able to carry on the Momime line.

In Memory

Sadly we lost our beloved Molly on 28th February 2012 after a short fight with cancer. She was just 9 years old. She was one in a million, my best friend, the "best dog ever" she has left a hole in our family that will never be filled. May she rest in peace xxx

2-12-2013 We lost our lovely Jenna this evening, it was very sudden and totally unexpected, we are all at a loss, she was such a quiet loving lady, very unassuming, a quiet presence that was always there when you needed a cuddle or comfort, she and molly had grown up with us and like molly will leave a gap in our lives. May she rest in peace xxx
