I purchased my first Stafford in 1976 and have had Staffords for 39 years. My affix EUPHEMIA was registered with the UK Kennel Club in 1980 and features prominently on the pedigrees of a number of champions past & present.

I am a member of the Kennel Club Accredited Breeder Scheme and all my stock is fully health tested and genetically clear. For me my guide when breeding is for excellent temperament first and foremost, followed by producing stock that adhers to the breed standard, for soundness, for construction & movement. I tend to breed occasionally usually when I want to keep a pup myself. Every litter is lovingly reared at home so the pups have the best start in life and I home check all future owners with many becoming life long friends.

In general most but not all my stock have been black brindles. I have bred some mahogany brindles and there have been a number of red dogs on the pedigrees of sires I have used. However I love all the different colours of the breed.

Since 1982 when I started showing I have had continued success in the ring with a number of significant winners namely
CH Euphemia Drummer Boy JW who has 4 CC's with BOB & 5 RCC's
Euphemia Black Cherry who won a RCC
Ebony Ace of Euphemia who won 2 CC's
Jimanhis Gem of Euphemia (KCSB)
Other progeny successfully shown are Euphemia Midnight Star (KCSB), Euphemia Earl of Eastaff, Euphemia Black Mischief (KCSB), Euphemia Sable Slayer, Euphemia Moon Shadow of Bellerophon, and Euphemia Total Eclipse.

I have been judging Staffords since 1989 and have judged all over the UK and in N. Ireland including a number of breed club shows. In 2014 I awarded Challenge Certificates for the first time at Border Union Championship Show.

I belong to 4 breed clubs and currently serve on the committee of the East Anglian SBT club and act as Show Manager a post I have held since 2005 and one I enjoy.

During the 1980s I assisted with the production of The Stafford Magazine designing the artwork for the magazine and compiling articles.
