I have over 40 years experience in the breed and made up my first champion in 1973, Ch Newsholme Modesty bred by Miss Helen Vaux.

In more recent times I have exhibited a grandson of Mansergh Flakey Dove of Kersfell, Ch Kersfell One For The Master JW (Ch Mansergh Master Chef at Risdene ex Kersfell Polly Flinders) who won 4 CCs and 8 RCCs and won the Champion Stakes heat at Richmond in 2007 (Working, Pastoral & Terrier day) judged by Mrs Meriel Hathaway. He was also successful in Open Shows, with several RBIS wins and BPIS and RBPIS. His dam, Kersfell Polly Flinders was the top Border Terrier brood bitch in 2006 (having only had one litter of four) when a litter brother, Kersfell Cock Robin at Hobholt won a CC.

His son, Chesterton Top Hat and Tails by Kersfell JW (Ch Kersfell One For The Master JW ex Chesterton Fancy Free) is now being shown and has gained his Junior Warrant; he won the RDCC at LKA in 2010; at the YL&CBTC Championship Show in 2011 and at Paignton in 2012 and has had numerous BOB awards at Open Shows.

Another grandson of Flakey Dove, Kersfell Comet JW (Ch/AmCh Tythrop Transatlantic ex Kersfell Venus) has 1 CC and 2 RCCs and was a Junior Warrant Competition Finalist at Crufts 2006. He has also been very successful at Open Shows with numerous BOB awards, group wins and 1 RBIS.

I breed for quality, type and temperament and occasionally have puppies for sale to carefully selected homes.
