We got our first golden Retreiver Sherrie in 1984 while serving with the army in Germany Sherrie then accompanied us on a tour of Cyprus. When we returned to the uk in 1988 we got our second golden Mac with whom we had a go at showing. His showing career was short lived due to cronic hip dysplasia. We were then joined by a year old rescue golden Oscar he had some behavoural problems that were soon sorted out. When Mac was a puppy I had met a lady with a wonderful bitch puppy at a show (Langsett Midnight Romance) and I went home and told John I had met the mother of my next show dog. Almost 6 years later (1996)Fergus (Langsett the Admiral at Tannadice) came to live with us and we took up showing again. Fergus was joined in 1998 by Oliver (Shazeldon love me Tender at T) They became our A team always laughing and being naughty we learnt the hard way in the show ring. We had a puppy from Olivers first litter to Fergus's sister Chelsea (Langsett Little Mermaid) Dylan (Langsett the Voyager at T) Dylan did very well but never really enjoyed the show ring. Fergus got 2 Reserve CC's but had to be retired from the show ring when a old injury caused him to be unsound. Oliver got his stud book number. and Fergus Oliver and Dylan all had their KC Good Citizen Silver awards. We lost Sherrie to Cancer at 15 and sadly Mac at 8 due to his arthritis. Then in 2001 we moved from Worcester down to Andover with Johns job. We were joined in 2004 By Logan (Langsett the Buccaneer by T) Fergus X Hayjoy Chrissie at Langsett who was a Dylan daughter. Logan was a dream to train and show but never really got a coat good enough to show at top level hi did obedience and gundog training he has his KC Good Citizen Gold award. In 2006 we were joined by a second Fergus son Eddy (Nosbodin Neptune by T) He did very well in the ring but now takes a back seat while we concentrate on the youngsters Ty (Trebettyn Teryrnon to T) Oliver x Fulvia Celtic Breeze at Trebettyn) exceeded all my expectations gaining our first Junior Warrant. He is a total joy to live with show and train and has proved to be a wonderful stud dog. He was joined in the ring by Dax (Rosinante Loverboy by T) Oliver X Rosinante Chelsea Girl he is very special as after expectedly losing Fergus in March 2009 we were stunned to lose Oliver in the November. The boy who was always so full of life and never stopped wagging his tail who was being placed in Veteran at championship shows up to the July was diagnosed with mouth cancer and gone within 2 weeks His sons have inherited their fathers happy disposition Dax being born 9 days after Oliver left us (well Oliver always had to have the last word!) In 2011 Logan went to live with a lovely lady Sarah who had just lost her older golden Logan loves being the centre of her attention and we see him regulary he is better being away from water as we have lakes and rivers by us and once in he would never willingly come out Sarah has no water near her so he enjoys really long dry walks. We liked only having 3 dogs but the house seemed a bit empty so in August 2012 Jordy arrived (Alibren Love Me Do at T) He fitted in straight away you would think he and Dax were litter brothers they are so close. So that was it back up to 4. A full house or so we thought. We were joined a few days before Christmas 2013 by Oakley (Palmonas Pandemonium at Tannadice) who is Jordy's half brother I am pleased to say does not live up to his name and has the same loving temperament as Jordy and fitted right in. All our boys have annual clear eye tests have been DNA tested and are PRA1 & 2 clear they have had their hips and elbows scored. Ty and Dax being used at stud are routinely swabbed to ensure no infection. They have wonderful temperments and are available at stud to approved Bitches
