Thorider Rottweilers is a kennel based in Leicester and have been breeding Champion Rottweiler breed types since 2004.

Founded by Sarah Thorold, a secondary school teacher of ten years and life-time dog lover, Sarah is a very dedicated and responsible breeder.

The main impetus for setting up Thorider was that Sarah wanted to quash the misperceived nature of this sweet, gentle breed type. Rather than the misinterpreted image of the Rottweiler depicted in popular culture, media, the press; Sarah wanted to positively promote the Rottweiler and so what better way than to bring new canine life into the world!

An unbalanced dog, whatever the breed, is due to a lack of excercise, affection and discipline that every dog requires. If a dog owner negates any of these critical parts of the triangle which create a balanced, content pet then the dog will develop troublesome habits.

With a dog of the Rottweilers size and strength, these habits will project aggressive, dominating behaviour and so it is critical that a Rottweiler has a responsible, firm, consistent owner who will contribute to the vision we have.
