Miss F Bannerman
We got our first weimaraner in 2005, my "other half" announced one night that he had just been to see a puppy and he was coming home in a few weeks. Much to my horror at the time, as a work colleague had one and I knew how much exercise etc they needed! Anyway we set off that dark night and I still remember it like yesterday. He crawled up onto my shoulder and cuddled into my neck on the short trip home and thus our journey begun........ Clalais Winged Song (Diesel) joined our lives.
He taught us a lot in his younger years and I will admit I could have given up on him when he was going through his "adolescent" years, the trips to the vets with his latest adventures, the replacing of many chewed items, but worked through it and to this day I have a wonderful loyal protector by my side. We took him to local obedience classes where he went through to gain his KC Gold Good Citizen Award. I wanted to do field work with him but at the time I didn't know anyone near us, a few people at our classes had said we should show him, we laughed and said that we just wanted a dog that would come back to us when asked!
However after he got his Gold, I wanted to keep his mind active and keep socialising.
I used to show horses, so shrugged my shoulders and entered the world of dog shows ............
