Our interest in dogs spans many years. We began with rescue Greyhounds and lurcher type dogs and played an active role in Rescue and rehoming. I also participated in obedience competitions with these animals. These dogd lived until aged 15 and 13 respectively. Asthma then dictated the necessity for a non-moulting, hypoallergenic type coat and the Standard became an ideal pet for us. We now have a small family of Standard Poodles which regularly compete at obedience competitions and participate in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Schemes achieving gold standard with two, and silver standard with three. A work in progress. We also lightly show our dogs at Open and Championship shows. We have attended Crufts with two of our dogs and been placed in very large classes. We believe in showcasing the Standard as a versatile companion and appreciate how important placing healthy animals in homes is. For this reason we hip score and eye test all our stock, as well as researching any potential matings thoroughly. Our dogs are allowed a normal life style with a daily disciplined road walk and off lead run what ever the whether.
