Jakarta's Jabberwocky

I work in the field of Adoption and am used to working with traumatised children. I began my adult life with dogs by rescuing them and using the same secure, therapeutic techniques that I would use with children. My first dog was a collie cross, who sadly died at 14, but has taught the dobermanns all her countryside skills.
My second rescue was a female Dobermann who would attack first and question later, Missy was a beautiful girl who settled after 2 years and learned to hunt and love the outdoors. It was her developing Cushings Disease that led me to an accidental meeting with Fiona Schofield of Jakarta Dobermanns. Fiona recommended the diet that was to extend Missy,s life to 9yrs. This meeting happened when Fiona had a litter of pups and so Spider came into my life - the first dog I haven't rescued!
At the time I had no idea how special he was but he was to soon show his star qualities when shown by Fiona at two Newark Champ shows, the second of which qualified him for Crufts 2010.
Given my history in dog rescue, I was to rescue another female Dobermann in Feb 09, I have always been an advocate of responsible ownership, training and breeding.
This means Spider, my stud Dobermann, is fully health screened and only available to bitches who are also health screened. He is a family dog, bred for his gentle nature both with other dogs and with children.
My dogs are also trained from arrival at my home to obey commands and are properly socialised. Spider is only lightly shown as I believe a dog has a right to a life full of fun and adventure, which he and his companion have with me in the mountains and fells and countryside
