'Hunters Croft' is the home of Achouffe Gundogs and Border Terriers. We are a small, select and successful Kennel where all our dogs are shown and worked throughout the season. Collectively over twenty years we have bred and made up Champions, bred/owned nine Stud Book entries. Weimaraners are our first love and Julie was privileged to rewrite the 'Breed History' books by owning and handling the first Weimaraner to take the highest Group placing of G2 at Crufts in 2000, it really was the greatest of beginings to the millennium.
We are members of the three English Weimaraner Breed Clubs of which Julie sits on the committee of the Weimaraner Association. We are also members of the Norfolk & Suffolk HPR Field Trial Club, and abide by all these Clubs' rules, regulations and code of ethics.
Together we judge Kennel Club run Gundog General Working Tests and Julie judges all Gundog breeds at Open Show level while 2009 saw Mark judging Weimaraners and awarding CC's for the first time at the Weimaraner Club of Scotland Championship Show.
We also made 'Breed History' by gaining the first Field Trial Award and subsequent Stud Book No. here in the UK with our Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer (Fen) and dote a lot of time to the Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer Club of which we are also members and where Julie is the Secretary.
Julie also finds time to write the Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer Breed Notes and the odd article for 'Dog World' Newspaper.
Border Terriers are the latest addition to join our family who enjoy not only showing and working, but playing on the beach and hacking out with the horses.

Take a look below at the millennium dogs and puppies which we have bred to date and read about the dogs that we have at home who are all Health screened and DNA profiled as recommended by the Kennel Club. They live, sleep, work and play together thoroughly enjoying their lives completely to the max, and we happily enjoy participating by owning, showing and working them.
We are Kennel Club Affiliate Members and Kennel Club approved Assured Breeders who occasionally offer responsibly and carefully bred litters, take gundogs for training and give help and support freely to the best of our knowledge and ability whenever requested in all our beloved breeds.
