My dogs are my own best advertisement and I am extremely proud of them, visitors are always welcome to come and meet them all.
**Kennel Club Accredited Breeder**
Proud to be a breeder who health tests!
I have had Border Collies since 1976 and have been breeding them for 20 years. I have bred a Crufts BOB winner, numerous CC, RCC, JW and Champ show winners as well as winners in obedience, agility and of course much love family pets. Many people who have had a Tamarsh puppy have come back for another. I feel this is great testament to My breeding and I am very proud of every Border Collie I have bred.
In 2006 I sadly decided to give up breeding Border Collies.
My Chinese Cresteds are relatively new to me and in the future I will be concentrating on them. As with my Border Collies I consider Health, Temperament, correct construction and sound movement to be extremely important. Cresties are a delightful intelligent toy breed and they are well suited to people who want an active smaller dog. They do love their creature comforts but do need to be active too. My dogs get daily runs in the fields and woods surrounging my home. Many people will tell you that Cresteds cannot be let off the lead. This is simply untrue. A little patience and correct training is all that is required.
Chinese Cresteds love to please and are well suited to Obedience and mini Agility and my main aim to promote the intelligence and trainability of this lovely breed. With this in mind I'm working hard at finding lines with the best temperaments for training. As with many breeds Chinese Crested temperaments vary a great deal.
I am firmly of the belief that it is possible to breed for correct type, health and temperament, so with this in mind all Tamarsh dogs and bitches are Eye tested, have the relevant Optigen DNA tests (unless clear by parentage), are hip and patella tested before being bred from. All Tamarsh Puppies are eye tested for congenital eye defects before 12 weeks of age. Failures are not used in my breeding programme. We know there are at least 2 forms of PRA in Cresteds, both types are now known to be in UK lines aswell as PLL and Glaucoma so testing has never been more important.
I have a very exciting litter planned. See my website for more information.
