"Billy" has turned out to be a lovely young dog ~ we were very pleased to get his BVA scores of "0" on elbows and 2:2 for hips and his recent "Clear" (for gPRA) confirmed the health "Hat-trick" for us...!

Yes... we know we've been absent from the show rings for quite a while (unfortunately the house move interfered with THOSE plans..!) but you'll see us again... so come and introduce yourselves to "Billy" and (fingers crossed) we'll be able to update the web site with some of Billy's successes going forward too...!

"Star" ("Lakedown Sea Ducer of HaselorHill")
*************************************************
SIRE: "FT CH Levenghyl Peacock" ("Buzz")
["FT CH Strad Benis" & "FT CH Glenpatrick Eve"]

DAM: "FT CH Connemara Twinkle of Lakedown"
["FT CH Lakedown Sedge" & "Pwll-Yr Weir Mint"]

We're also pleased to now be able to update you on Star's recent DNA results too... (both "CLEAR" for gPRA... and also a "CLEAR" result for CNM too) and those results, coupled with very good hip score and elbow + eye test results ~ + a cracking pedigree, with 32 Field Trial Champions to boot ~ also meant that a future litter was naturally on the cards for this very clever young lady..!

"Star" is progressing nicely and coming along well with her gundog training. She came 6th, in a very strong field, at her first-ever Novice event; with the Labrador Retriever Club of Wales.

Trainer, Helen Goodwin, reported she was really pleased with Star's progress and commented that "...Star is doing really well on blind-retrieves now and the potential IS there for the future. She is really coming along very nicely indeed...!"

This was further supported with Star's next Novice event... when she came a very laudable 3rd place -- at Usk Valley Working Gundog Club -- when she finished only 1pt behind 2nd place (and only 10pts behind 1st) which, by the way, was won by her 1/2 brother..!)

URC was her last competition -- before she whelped -- and Star came home 6th from a strong field... and at 5 weeks in whelp too..! -- we were all more than delighted with the improvements we clearly saw on the day...!

Nine Pups were born -- 29/07/09 -- and Star took to motherhood with just as much gusto and really enjoyed rearing her pups... until "demand exceeded supply"...! Star successfully reared all 9 -- who all found lovely homes with their new owners -- and we were so delighted with the litter we kept back two bitch puppies to run on too...

It'll be summer 2010 before she gets competition-fit again, so here's hoping she gets back to fittness and form AND doesn't forget all her training too..!
;-)

We'll let you know how Star progresses with her gundog training... she made a really good start in 2009 -- had a break to have her puppies -- but can now get back to dashing around the fields and being a retriever again..!

HaselorHill Kennels, located in the South Worcestershire countryside, are KC Registered Breeders of Show; Working and Companion Labrador Retrievers...

Their dogs are selectively and carefully bred and chosen for their soundness; temperament; character; good looks and, of course, their ability "to do the job" that's being asked of them... whether that's making their owners proud in the show ring; or out working in the field... or, simply, as an important addition to your family....!

Litters are carefully planned and HaselorHill Kennels believes "...a Labrador should look like a Labrador...!"

Puppies are sometimes available -- please enquire for details -- but do enquire as early as possible; as there is usually a waiting list for puppies...

Viewings by Appointment.
