I got interested in german shepherds at a very young age because my aunt who was also my god mother had a lot of pets and did a lot of work for the R.S.P.C.A. among her many dogs she always had a german shepherd which was her 1st love, also i used to see the policeman nearly every day at the police box with his dog a G.S.D. of course i am talking 1950's. it was from here my love of G.S.Ds came my farther was a great animal lover anyway. my aunt brought my sister and myself a pet duck each which arrived by steam train and my farther had to collect them from the railway station, Anyway back to dogs, when my sister took her 11 plus exam my mum said she could have dog if she passed ( my sister was older than me ) well she did and my parents purchased a toy poddle who's grandparent was a cruffs champ, i wanted a G.S D but had to wait untill i married in 1966 before my dream came true of having my own G.S.D. i attended training classes with her and we worked very hard working our way up through to top class c we enjoyed many matches with other clubs and we always did well and came 1st mostly every time , I have continued to own theses wonderful dogs ever since and it only in the last year have gone into breeding. With all my dogs over the years have entered obedience ,agility and breed shows gaining lots of places in all abilities I am sure i have a lot learned a lot about the breed over the years and i am still learning i have judged the odd show for G.S.D.rescue run by Una wilson , my current 3 dogs have gained their good citizen gold, Tiggy my youngest who passed her's at only 15 months of age, Brains and beauty all in one breed of dog what more could one ask for. No wonder I love the breed so much
