Having recently moved back from an extended maternity leave period in the Scottish borders where both Poppy and Dixie could get as much rest and exercise as they wanted as well as swimming and chasing pheasents which luckily they never caught! We are back in the North West close to our familes and our family farm where the dogs carry on their love of all things outdoorsy. Poppy is our first Golden Retriever and was our first pet together. She was bought from a love of the breed and we couldn't have been more pleased with the choice we made. Poppy used to spend most of her day running about on a 180 acre farm, where she could indulge in 2 of her most favourite things running, and swimming in the 3 ponds she had at her disposal. She is a family pet who gets on very well with our nearly 5 year old and 18 month old which is imperative. Dixie who is Poppy's daughter joined our family so that I could hopefully do some showing and obdedience work, and indulge my passion of dogs and shows. As anyone who knows both Dixie and Poppy they can see they are lovely dogs and an absoloutly perfect choice as our family pets, as they are both great with our children. We also have a new addition (although not all that new!) a Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel Jessie who is a typical Cocker in attitude and sense of humour! She is such a fantastic addition and the completion of our canine trio.
