ELLEONIA

It all started in 1989 when we bought our first Lhasa Apso as a pet. From here we found the bug for showing. In 1991 we had our first litter of Lhasa Apso's which contained our very own Elleonia Showstopper which won joint Puppy of the Year in 1992 in Lhasa Apsos. Since then we have had many litters of Lhasa's over the years which has now led us to the stock we have today.

Since a very early age our daughters Antonia Seward and Danielle Seward have been interested in showing. Antonia started at the age of 7 and Danielle started at the age of 2 and Danielle is still going strong today at the age of 21 with her new interest of Siberian Huskies. Over the years we have bred Whippets and Afghans, however we no longer own these breeds.

We welcomed our first whippet into the Elleonia kennels in 1995, Shyfire Dancer of Elleonia pet name Cara. We fell in love with the breed when our daughters Antonia and Danielle started junior handling and the Lhasa's didnt like the intense long days of the junior handling competitions. We had 3 litters of whippets producing Elleonia Little Madam and Ch. Elleonia Dancing Home to Dumbritain. As Antonia and Danielle stopped competing in junior handling we decided to stop breeding whippets and concentrate on the Lhasa's.

In 1999 we welcomed our first Afghan Hound from Liz and Claire Millward Alouann Blond N Dizzy, or Bebe as she was known. This was Antonia's interest and she did very well with Bebe as a youngster however Bebe decided that sitting on the sofa and relaxing was much interesting than showing. We retired Bebe from showing at an early age, we continued to have 1 litter of Afghans but decided that it wasnt the breed for us. We sadly lost Bebe in March 2009 she is sadly missed we no longer own Afghans.

In 2009 brought the new interest of Siberian Huskies for our other daughter Danielle. We now own two sibes and have had some great fun showing them and hope it will continue in the future. We still own and show Lhasa's and we have the occational litter but only when we need a new puppy for the ring. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
