Welcome to the Sheerdax Miniature Dachshund pages. I am a Kennel Club Accredited Breeder/Exhibitor of Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshunds based in South Hampshire....

I have loved dogs all my life and owned them for 30 years, my first breed/passion being the Long Coated German Shepherd. I bred my first litter aged 17, whilst still living with my parents using my first Kennel Club registered affix "Zolek". Several litters followed carrying this name until I registered a brand new affix "Sheerdax" for my beloved dachshunds.

I fell for the charms of the Miniature Dachshund over 12 years ago - the mini wires came first, followed by the mini smooths - I don't think there is another breed to compare. They are full of fun, character and love and in my opinion make the most perfect companions.

I am concentrating on showing and breeding the Miniature Smooth variety with my 2 old mini wire girls growing old disgracefully and appearing at the odd fun day!! My last homebred German Shepherd "Chita" is now 8 years old and the guardian of us all at Sheerdax ♥

Beware, Dachshunds are VERY addictive - one never seems enough :-)
