WOLFWOOD

I started with Siberian Huskys in 1995 when I aquired a grey and white bitch puppy from the well known Tupilak kennel. Tupilaks Laura arrived as a 12 week old shy girl who hid behind the sofa for the first 2 weeks. Gradually she became more confident and started being a sibe.ie chewing everything and leaving hair allover the place.
From this girl I bred my first litter, sired by Cheechakos Dark as Night. This mating was to combine the pure working lines of the dam and the dual purpose lines of the sire to produce progeny capable of both running in harness and for showing. I kept 2 from this litter, Ria and Cosmo and were registered under the affix LUCANIA.

The kennel name was changed to WOLFWOOD as I changed direction and moved onto the more showy lines within the breed. Wolfwood currently is home to 7 sibes. 6 of which carry american show lines and
all have impeccable temperaments and are true to type. Although I do not show my dogs extensively, due to lack of time, all the dogs here at Wolfwood are of show quality and it is hoped future generations will be successful in the show ring as well as being able to pull in harness.

All the dogs here at WOLFWOOD are run in harness during the colder months using both a wheeled rig and an ATV with the engine removed. We do not compete at organised rallies at present but the dogs are run for pleasure and to keep them fit and in tune.

Wether show dogs or racing dogs or a combination of both all my sibes are first and foremost family pets and are treated as part of the family.
All the dogs are eye tested regularly and hip scored. Only dogs with a clear eye status and acceptable hip score are used for breeding.
