We are a small working & show sled dog kennel based in Rochford, Essex. We are owned by 12 Sled Dogs.
Our philosophy is simple; to raise, train, enjoy, love & support the Alaskan Malamute & the Siberian Husky whilst helping others to understand these truly magnificent breeds.
As we are a small kennel, our dogs receive that personal one-on-one attention that helps reinforce good dispositions & excellent temperaments.
All dogs including puppies are socialised daily with adults, children and other dogs.

WHY KEGLUNEQ?
"KEGLUNEQ" is a word taken from one of the many "Yupik" dialects spoken in the Siberian & Alaskan fringes & translates literally as "Wolf"

All our dogs & puppies are fed on a species appropriate raw & natural diet....As they evolved & just how nature intended!

Thunder has amassed countless wins at Open & Champ Shows including Alaskan Malamute Puppy of the Year 2000 & 1st Post Grad Dog Crufts 2002, plus numerous Best in Shows including BEST in SHOW at The Alaskan Malamute Club Show 2002 under highly respected judge Mr Keith Givens (Shomont)

A real showman who demands attention the moment he enters the ring, he has the most playful & enderaring character, a gentle giant with a reputation to match.

At Kegluneq we pride ourselves in breeding quality Sled Dogs . Our stud dog "Thunder" consistently produces Show and Race winners to follow in his footsteps.

From 2000- 2002 Thunder was arguably the most succesful dual purpose dog in the show ring & in harness in the UK. His progeny continue to follow in his success, most notably "Chinook" ( Kegluneq's Blaze of Glory) who single handedly won the A.B.S.A. Championship race series in 2003/2004

As members of the A.M.C.U.K. The S.H.C.G.B. Kegluneq operate a strict ethical breeding policy. Kegluneq will ONLY breed from PROVEN dogs... that is, dogs of sound temperement, of breed standard which have proven careers in the show ring and/or in harness as proven working dogs.

All parents are Kennel Club registered and have been fully eye tested and hip scored under a BVA scheme in line with their respective breed society's code of ethics. Documentation to this effect is always made available for scrutiny by the prospective owner, together with Pedigrees and a list of the dogs working and/or show achievements.

Due to the unique nature of our specific breeds, prospective owners are subject to a vetting procedure with puppies only available to approved homes.
