pictured in the vineyard at home in Gloucestershire, she spends much of her time trying to keep our huge rabbit population down.

Fanny gave birth to nine very healthy pups in July 2006, they were by 'SH CH RAYCRIS RATHER SPECIAL' (Oska).
Both Oska and Fanny are from working parents and bloodlines.

At least one of Fanny's last litter has been shown and has had success in the ring, even qualifying and being placed at Crufts this year.
Some have been working and doing field trials and others are simply much loved, energetic pets, keeping their owners fit!

Fanny has excellent German roots having been bred from Raycris and Kalevalley stock.

Fanny has a good hip score and clear, current eye certificates.

I was brought up on fruit farms with a father who went shooting to keep the rabbits, pheasants and pigeons off the crops, and I have loved the gundogs that we had, (springers and a black lab), however I always loved the elegence and stride of the leggier setters and pointers.
I was introduced to Large Munsterlanders about 7 years ago, having spotted a gangly puppy in the yard of Weston's Cider in Herefordshire. I enquired about it as it seemed to have all the physical qualities of what I thought was the perfect dog for me. Then I found out about their intelligence and loyalty and I immediately asked when they were having another litter and put my name down for one in two years time.
Fanny has been a complete joy to own, and although I don't shoot, she has plenty of space and opportunity to fulfull her hunting instincts by lots of walking and rabbiting in the vineyards and fields were we live.
She was an excellent mother to her last litter, even bringing rabbits back for the pups when they were weaned ( we didn't let her give them!). She sailed through the pregnancy and whelping and the nine pups were happy and healthy.
