Having been introduced to Golden Retrievers at the age of eight I realised the love they could give and receive. I grew up in a home full of dogs and puppies, with over three generations at any one time. It wasn't until my husband and I moved to a suitable property with land in Cornwall that we had one of my parent's puppies six years ago, Canaleigh Indian Summer.

I joined the Canaleigh affix eight years ago which my parents Cynthia and Bruce Mackay started in 1986 and have successfully bred five litters on our own.

Over the years we are proud to have had Champion CC winners, Junior Warrant holders and field trial award winners. More recently from Indie's first litter, Canaleigh Hot Gospel and Canaleigh Sea Breeze have both shown success in the show ring. However, the majority have proven to be just wonderful family pets.

I kept two sisters from Indie's first litter who have been a bundle of fun, but with two very young children I have been limited on our visits to shows. Cynthia Mackay is more active with a puppy from Indie's second litter, Canaleigh Tregoose who is proving very successful in the show ring. Cynthia is also a champ show judge and enjoys working the dogs and picking up at local shoots.
