I grew up with Jack Russells but always wanted bigger dogs and as soon I got married had my first Golden Retriever(Ben). Unfortunately , not knowing anything about choosing a healthy dog, I learnt my lesson the hard way and 'Ben' suffered both eye and hip problems
We were introduced to breeding by Gillian Wicklow (Gillbryan Kennels) when we retired in 2000 and moved to Wiltshire. We bought our first bitch from her and have stayed close to get advice on sires to ensure good bloodlines. We have bitches hip scored and eyes tested to try to ensure we don't pass on the problems I encountered with my first dog
We love the exceptional temperament of these Retrievers and are breeding to produce wonderfully good natured family pets
