Welcome. My name is Caroline Collinson and I have been involved with danes since 1988. It all began with my first dane Cleo, a black pet bitch with the patience of a saint! When I was at work, she went with me everywhere. Then I got married and started a family, and she just loved my children to bits too! She lived to almost 13 yrs of age, she will NEVER be forgotten. |

After only a short while, life without a dane in our lives became unbearable. We then sort to find another dane. There would only be one black bitch for us and that was Cleo. We elected to go for a fawn dog! We found one in Nelson from Kennel Emaneaz, and Mick and Elaine became good friends. Once again this fawn dog was purely a pet, we had no interest in showing. Nelson was a huge dog and VERY sadly we lost him just after his 5th birthday |

We then got Sophie once again from Mick and Elaine at Emaneaz. This was the last puppy bitch along with a dog that they were keeping for themselves. However, they agreed to let us have her and that if I would take her to shows Mick would show her and so my introduction to showing a dane began. Those two became an item, and Mick did Sophie well. Thanks to be given again to Mick and Elaine for giving me two very special dogs. Sophie still is first and foremost a member of our family and secondly comes any showing. She has done well in the show ring, and gained a Stud Book Number (qualifying her for Crufts for life). She has the most fantastic laid back temperament about things but also up and ready to do whatever. Absolutely love her to bits. |

Sophie has now had a beautiful litter of puppies and has done them well. Many thanks to Dave and Sharon who have given me such good advice at Kennel Danisha, home of the sire of this litter. I am looking forward to showing my danes in 2008. |
