Orsinosouth

Orsinosouth is a small family kennel with years of experience in Molossor breeds.

We have owned & shown our dogs for many years but only ever shown each dog lightly. We have learnt a lot over the years but we cannot say we know everything as we are always learning. There are many more experienced breeders in Bulldogs that would be glad to answer any questions that we cannot.

As we do enjoy showing and have done so on and off for nearly 15 years, we applied to the Kennel Club for our affix in 2001 & 'ORSINOSOUTH' was born.

We have been blessed with some wonderful dogs of which 4 of the Neapolitans were imported. Katie has shown all our dogs for the last 11 years starting when she was 15. She now judges Neapolitan Mastiffs having done several KC seminars as well as assisting me in putting on the breed seminars. You can find out more about us by looking at our website.

Our dogs live in our home and are our pets & companions more than anything else. They are raised with all the usual noises such as, people visiting, telephones, hoovers, all modern appliances etc, which helps when it comes to settling puppies into their new homes. Socialising & manners are also very important, (not just to the breeds but to us too, as a large unruly dog is not a pleasure but a pain!!) and again we encourage people to visit us. We also take our dogs on various trips around different towns/markets from a young age, not to mention very important 'social' trips to the vets.

Any puppy we have had has been trained at obedience classes with our local training club as well as ring craft classes. We do not find any conflict in this & believe that it’s beneficial for our dogs to have both experiences. I was the treasurer of the Barking Canine Club for many years as well as the Secretary of the Neapolitan Mastiff Club for 5 years. We believe that in order to be interested in a breed you need to belong to the breed clubs to find out as much as you can about the breed. Plus it’s great to meet and socialize with like minded people.
