Sweet Honeysuckle

This is my beautiful bitch Gem! She is my first owned staffie.

I lived in a country park when i was younger and have always had dogs, mostly crossbreeds, who had sadly been dumped in our country park. (Whom turned out to be brilliant family & working dogs for my dad!!)

A few years ago, i looked after a friends puppy staffs and fell in love with the breed, what characters and fun dogs to have around. So I went searching for one of my own. I brought Gem home when she was 8 weeks old and from then on my 2 young children, partner and myself have fallen for her. I had a personal trainer to teach myself and Gem all we needed. Gem's very playful, kind, gentle and loves every bit of attention and cuddles she gets. She particulary loves chasing balls.....tennis balls, footballs, even the odd large branch in the woods is good fun to carry around!! Gem can be rather scatty sometimes,(bless her), but this just adds to her personality. We also have guinea pigs, who Gem does'nt really find that interesting, although the guinea pigs seems to love her, they chatter away and follow her around!

I have always been interested in breeding dogs. With Gem being such a fine tempered, loving healthy dog, i started to fill my head with as much information on how to breed successful, healthy, strong pups, as i could. I had her tested for all the relevant gene and eye tests, which she passed. I was interested in finding new, fresh bloodlines for the pups, as i feel this is important. So, I found an equally stunning stud, here on champdogs. (Blue Boy Breeze).

Well, fortunately it happened. On 10th March 2008, Gem gave birth to 7 gorgeous puppies....She did a fantastic job, and is a real attentive, natural mum!! 10/10 for my best girl!!
