Tuptonsett

This is our liver and white ticked GSP Dam Tessie, she was born in June 2005.
Tessie is the 4th GSP we have owned and she has just had her first litter in Jan 08. She has a hip score of 4.5.
We took Tessie to the local dog show last year where she won first in the pedigree class and went on to win best in show.
We have kept a black and white ticked bitch (TRUDIE)for showing and a fantastic liver and white ticked dog (BERNARD) also for showing and eventually stud. We will probabley have another litter of GSP pupps in spring 09.

These are the 3 Labrador boys, Sam (Yellow) Toby (Chocolate) and Dinky Doo (Black) Sam is 10, Toby 7 and Dinky Doo is 2. Dinky is small as he has an eating disorder. He was adopted by our eldest daughter Amanda and goes to training twice a week. He won first place at Ash Green Dog Show in the obedience class.
Bonnie is our chocolate labrador bitch, She has whelped on 8th Sept 08 and produced 9 choc puppies. 6 bitches and 3 dogs. See litter details.

This is Trudie, Black and white ticked GSP bitch, next years Crufts competition (We Hope), She is an absolutely fantastic pup and highly intelligent. Spoilt rotten of course. She has already done well at local shows and on Sunday 8th June 08 won best in show at Barlow show held at Bakewell showground. Won 2 reserves at Malvern. Won best pup and best in breed at Bakewell show on 6th August 08 so is also at Crufts in 09. Won 2 2nds at Builth Wells at Wales. Won 2nd at Leicester in Pup class.Won 3rd at Birmingham champ show. Reserve at Darlington.Trudie has attracted a lot of interest from fellow GSP owners,

Bernard is Trudies brother. Equally spoilt but ever so mardy. Bernard went to the GSPA fun day in May 08 at leicester and won first in the puppy class. Bernard won 2nd at Leeds champ show so is at Crufts in 09. Won best pup at Heckington and 2 firsts at Wales . First at Leicester in August 08 in pup breed and short listed in group. VHC at Birmingham champ show. Won 2 2nd's at Darlington champ show.

Our kennel is TUPTONSETT as the house is called The Sett and in the village of Old Tupton near Chesterfield in Derbyshire.
We breed GSP's and Labradors.
We have owned dogs since 1984, 1 week afte we were married. Our first dog was a German Shepherd who lived to 13 years old. 8 years ago we started breeding chocolate labradors with great success. We have had 8 litters with thankfully no problems producing 58 puppies in total.
We have also bred black and yellow labradors.
I am an ex RSPCA employee who used to look after the dog blocks mainly. I am also a qualafied dog clipper and groomer and have animal first aid and NVQ level 2 in animal welfare.
Aswel as 3 GSP's we also own 4 labradors and a whole menageri of other animals including 4 horses, 4 cats and just had 7 Ragdoll Kittens from our queen Cleo. We want to concentrate on dog showing this year so the horses may have to take second place.
We are new members of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club and the German Shorthaired Pointer Association so hope to meet fellow enthusiasts and have made some new friends at shows this season.
Our eldest daughter has a diploma in animal care having completed 3 years at Broomfield college at Derby.She will be showing Bernard at some of the champ shows this year.
Our other daughter is a groom, so we are a animal family.
