Spearhil is a kennel behind which are years of multi dog ownership & keen interest in pedigree research & rescue.

I am a keen advocate of DNA testing & health screening of all my dogs whether they are used for breeding or just kept as family pets.

My dogs although working dogs are first & foremost much loved valued family pets & companions who have opened many doors to a wide range of hobbies including gundog work, Working Tests & of late an increasing interest in showing.

Bonnie is regular representative of her breed at events such as the KC's Discover Dogs on behalf of the Weimaraner Club of Great Britain. Graf joined her in 2007 proving himself to be an excellent example of the breed for the viewing public.

As a kennels I produce single litters occassionally to replace my own dogs after retirement. None of my dogs are bred under three years of age.

I will not be breeding a litter of Cocker Spaniels this year. If you have any enquiries I would be happy to provide information on other suitable breeders that have litters due & have completed the relevant health tests.

I am a KC Accredited Breeder Scheme member.

I am a member of several breed clubs including:

Weimaraner Club of Great Britain
Weimaraner Association
North of England Weimaraner Club
Weimaraner Club of America
Weimaraner Klub e.V. Germany
Vereniging 'De Weimarse Staande Hond'- Holland

As an owner with an interest in several gundog breeds I recommend rescue dogs as a consideration when looking to add a new dog to your family. Many of the dogs that end up in rescue are there through no fault of their own, have alot to offer & often make fabulous additions.

You can find a list of potential rescue dogs available on the website of the 'Breed Club' for your choosen breed of interest.

Please see the website for more information. If you have questions on the breed or are starting your research please feel free to get in touch I am always happy to help.

Our 2008 litter have all gone to their new homes we wish them every success for the future.
