FABLEHAWK

I have been owned by Belgian Shepherds since 1989.
My original affix was Dragonlance but this was passed to Paul & Lyn Hooper in 2002. In 2005 I started the Fablehawk affix. I currently live in a village location in the south of North Yorkshire, near the motorways. I moved here from Tayside 20 years ago.

Fablehawk has been awarded the Kennel Club Assured Breeder status and as such adheres to all required health tests. All my dogs are hip scored and hold current eye certificates before either being bred from, or used at stud.

I was very fortunate to co-own the beautiful quarantine born bitch Delark Velvet Whisper of Dragonlance (Fr. Ch. Emir de Condivicnum x Ch Delark Babycham), ‘Velvet’. For me it was the start of it all, she is still to this day very sorely missed.

‘Velvet’ was an Open and Championship show winner, very rarely was she out of the ‘cards’. During her career she gained 2 Reserve Challenge Certificates (RCC) both under breed judges and in her first outing in the millennium year she took best Tervueren Veteran at the BSDA Ch Show. Her best pal was ‘Cory’ Delark No Frills (Ch. Bergerac Love Kills x Delark Extra Special) and once again I am proud to say that she was both Open and Championship show winner, along the way she collected a RCC and won her Veteran Class at Crufts in her 10th year under breed specialist Vic Salt. Cory was with us until just 7 weeks before her 18th birthday. She was such a permanent member of the family; it’s been hard adjusting to life without her.

‘Velvet’ had one litter to Ch Opium van de Hoge Laer at Corsini, and ‘Riva’ Dreams ‘n Desires of Dragonlance joined the family. I am proud to say that her litter sister Dior Whispers of Dragonlance is still enjoying life at the grand age of 15.

‘Riva’ had one litter to Malory de Condivicnum at Corsini with Lancetti and ‘Fabia’ Fablehawk Dragonlance Mifaria arrived. Unfortunately ‘Fabia’ had to be neutered, but her litter sister Dragonlance Amina produced a litter to Delator Crown Prince for Paul & Lynn Hooper, this time a boy ‘Fable’ Aldabaskin of Dragonlance joined the household.

Fortunately we were able to continue when he produced a litter of 6 girls for the Baudwin kennel. As you may have guessed ‘Phoenix’ Baudwin Firebird of Fablehawk (Aldabaskin of Dragonlance x Baudwin Minnorette) then joined us.

So here we are our happy little band consisting of Fabia, Fable, Phoenix when into the midst comes a Groenendael. It had been 15 years since my last one, but ‘Cymry’ Baudwin Welsh Whisper with Fablehawk (Xanova Dans le Noir avec Ambrajai x Vanistica Unforgetable of Baudwin) has now been with us for nearly 2 years, she is co-owned with her breeder Mo Glenton of Baudwin.
