Our interest in pedigree dogs commenced 14 years ago when we resided in the UK and purchased an OES ( with a tail ) - "Nuala" Later, having retired to the ROI and become interested in dogshowing, we decided to let her have a litter with a suitable dog, when knowledgeable people remarked on the quality of her pedigree. We eventually found an experienced exhibitor who owned a dog that ticked all the boxes. This litter produced 2 Irish Champions , "Tomies Beaufort Lad" and "Tomies My Boy at Raggletaggle". Dog exhibiting thus became our hobby and we also had the added satisfaction of knowing we were adding to the gene pool in Ireland. To widen our own , we purchased a puppy from the Zottel's kennel - " Zottel's Xtra Special at Tomies" which we also made up to Irish Champion. We have used Pockethall and Zottel dogs mainly in our infrequent breeding which have produced dogs of excellent bone mass, size and profuse coat with a temperment that is both suitable for the showring and as a pet companion. Our foundation bitch "Nuala" is the great grandmother of our present litter. |
