Alan and I have owned Bearded Collies for 20 years and Spanish Water Dogs for 7 years. Living in the far north west of Scotland for a lot of the year, we enjoy walking our dogs on the vast expanses of sandy beaches. Our dogs live indoors and are a large part of the family.

The SWDs love the water and fetching their toys from the waves. They are very intelligent and need to be occupied or they will find their own entertainment!

I have also shown the Beardies for 17 years and have had a degree of success, gaining three of their stud book numbers and winning several Reserve CCs.

I now show the SWDs including my home bred Bob who gained TOP PUPPY in 2008 from the SWD club and Our Dogs. Gabriel and Stevie also gained joint top puppy (with each other) in 2010

2010 started with Crufts where Bob gained a 1st, Mia, his mum won Reserve Best Bitch - WOW! and (Auntie) Bella also won a second, what a day.

2010 was a superb year with several reserve best dog awards with our homebred Bob and our homebred youngster Stevie. Bella has also one 2 Reserve Best Bitch awards this year. Stevie and Gabriel (the youngsters) have won 6 Best Puppy in Breed between them, making them joint top puppies for 2010 in the UK. Their brother, Rico, who has only been shown twice at Championship show level also has been awarded 2 BPIB and a reserve best dog at East of England.

Our main passion is to enjoy the companionship and life the dogs bring into our days, even when they choose to misbehave.

All our dogs are regularly checked by our vet. We breed very occasionally and ensure hipscores are well below average and any other recommended health checks are undertaken. Temperament is of utmost importance to us as we believe in having a happy relaxed environment at home and dogs who are a joy to take with us when possible.

Gracie gained her first RCC at National Working and Pastoral Breeds in July.
Results for 2011 at Crufts - Gabriel a first, Stevie and Ola (Prizelands Enchanting Eva) a second, Rico a third and Lilly (Prizelands Black Cherry) a fourth.

We are happy to discuss our lovely breeds with anyone who is interested in owning them.

We have two places of residence, Sutherland Scotland and Essex England.
