We have owned St Bernards for the past 9 years,i always wanted one when i was growing up and got my first (Keiko) when we finished building our house.
Since then we have added another 2, Gracie , who we imported from Wales and Mayday who we imported from Holland.
Gracie has done pretty well in the ring, her very first show (and mine) was the st bernard club of ireland show. At barely 6 months old she won 1st in minor puppy bitch, 1st in puppy bitch, 2nd in Junior bitch and won Best puppy in show. Needless to say, we were delighted.
A couple of weeks later she took Res Green Star Bitch at Tralee & District Ch Show, at barely 7 months old.
Mayday has only been lightly shown since he arrived here in the summer. He's been placed in Open Dog at 4 out of the 5 Munster circuit shows even though he was still young enough for the junior class. He will be shown a lot more in 2008.
We don't breed very often but puppies are occasionaly available to approved homes.
