QUENSHA

Jessica our home bred bitch was the 5th Show Champion for our kennel. Sired by Roszarke Romantic Pursuit she became the Top winning English Setter in the UK in 2001. During her show career she won nine CC's, several RCC's, two Group 1 and a Group 2 placing at Championship shows. She is the dam of our own SH CH QUENSHA LIGHT MY FIRE JW, who gained his title in 2006 with the bonus of a Group 4. She produced 1 more litter in 2005 from which we have kept QUENSHA TEARS OF PEARLS, winner of several Champ Show First Prizes. Jessica has now retired to the sofa, from where she can currently admire her new grandchildren.

William, sired by SH CH ROSZARKE HOLIDAY ESCAPADE out of SH CH QUENSHA ROMANCE AT MIDNIGHT, was the top winning English Setter puppy in 2001 and now has the all important three CC's and a couple of RCC's as well as a Group 4 win to his credit. He has sired a litter of pups of which two are currently being shown. William is in semi retirement from the show ring.

A picture of a young Gus, who now lives with Richard in Yorkshire. Since this picture was taken he has matured further and won four CC's and several RCC's. He is currently at stud and producing quality puppies to Sh Ch winning bitches.

Buffy is the latest star in our kennel, who after a slow start gained her title at the age of six, making her Dam Sh Ch Ferndel Cecilia the top brood bitch ever, Buffy over all breeds. Unfortunately after attempting twice to have a litter from her Buffy became ill and had to be spayed. Since then she has blossomed into the lovely girl you see here and is currently living with Angela in semi retirement.

Quensha kennels came into existence in 1974 which coincidentally was the year my partner in the Quensha affix was born!!
I began with the English Setters and made up my first home bred Show Champion in 1986. Following this I made up a Pointer Show Champion and another English Setter Show Champion. Then in 1999 Richard Bott joined forces with me under the Quensha affix and together we have now made up 10 Show Champions between us, in 5 Gundog breeds; English Setter, Weimaraner, Irish Setter, Pointer, and Welsh Springer Spaniel.
Richard and I both judge at Championship level and I have judged extensively all Gundog breeds at Open Show level including Best in Show all breeds, as well as judging the English Setter Championship Show in Melbourne, Australia.
A key policy of the Quensha kennel is that we do not breed on a commercial basis but occasionally have litters purely to replenish our show stock.
