We first became interested in minis three and a half years ago after becoming aquainted with a friend's. We decided then that we would really like to look into this breed further. After many months of research and talking to breeders and owners of minis, the decision was made that they were just what we were looking for to join our family. Our first mini,a salt and pepper, Lottie, came to live with us in June 2005 at eight weeks old. Our second mini, Ronnie, a black and silver, joined us in February 2007 at four months old. Primarily our two minis are pets in a lively family home. They enjoy a wide variety of days out with us including country walks, playing on the beach and visiting family and friends. They also really enjoy their twice weekly visits to the riding stables, where there are always new friends to play with. Due to their particular interest in muddy days out, both our minis have weekly baths and have become accustomed to their daily grooming. They have both attended puppy obediance classes to help with their early socialisation and basic training. The skills learnt have been very useful and set us on the road to continue with training at home, which minis especially enjoy. We have entered them into some local companion dog shows where they have both been placed and Ronnie won reserve best in show. These days prove to be very enjoyable for all. Lottie has also had a go at agility which she thoroughly enjoyed and we hope to continue with this in the future with them both . We have a very supportive vet who regularly checks, immunises and worms our dogs and they are also taken to be eye tested . Hopefully this has told you a little about us and how we became smitten with this wonderful breed. They bring us joy every day and if you wish to know more don't hesitste to contact us. |
