My love of the Old English Sheepdog breed began many many moons ago when I was about 11 years old. My parents bought a bitch which we called 'Friday' - she was born on a Friday and we brought her home on a Friday so it just seemed appropriate.

As the years went by the family went on to own two other OES called 'Beau' and 'Harvey'.

My husband promised me that I could have my own OES when we had a house and garden big enough. It took us 20 years but we finally found the perfect place in 2007. We ended up getting not one but two OES - Max and Ellie.

After initially being very apprehensive I soon got the bug for Showing. With Max we are learning all the ins and outs of showing and hopefully he will have a successful show career. Since 2008 we have attended many Shows and have so far qualified for Crufts every year. Our best result to date with Max was at Crufts 2010 where he was placed 3rd Post Graduate Dog. We have alot more Shows lined up for 2011 and will post all his results on this site and our website.

My husband and I have now found a suitable bitch to be our 'foundation' bitch for our kennels. Her name is Phoebe (Hightea aus dem Elbe-Urstromtal over Hazyland). She is from a very well respected breeder in Belgium - Mrs Conny Loest. Phoebe joined our family on 1st March 2009 aged 10 months old following her quarantine. We started showing Phoebe along with Max from March 2009. Her best results to date are Reserve Best Bitch CC Winner at the Midland OES Club Champ Show in December 2009 and then Reserve Special Yearling Bitch at Crufts 2010. In 2011 we took Phoebe over to Ireland and so far she has gained 1 CACIB, 1 Res CACIB, 6 Green Stars and 3 Res Green Stars. All her show results will be posted both on here and on our main website.

On October 2nd 2011 we brought home our newest addition to the family. He is called Bramley (Zottels Xceedingly Nice For Hazyland). He is spending his first few months settling in and getting to know Max and Phoebe as well as having a little training in preparation for his debut in the show ring in 2012.

As future responsible breeders we will ensure that all our dogs have the current relevant health tests done prior to breeding. We will strive to follow the Kennel Club Breed Standard and will not participate in any breeding which we consider to be detrimental to the health of our dogs or the OES breed in general.

We also actively take part in research for the OES breed. For example, in 2009 we provided DNA samples to the Animal Health Trust for research into Hereditary Cataracts. We have also provided blood samples from each dog for DNA testing for PCD (further details about this condition can be found on our main website).
