Our experience with dogs goes back 21 years to 1986, when we moved to our forestry cottage deep in the heart of Thetford forest in Norfolk. We are surrounded by pine trees and have approx one acre of grounds. This being an ideal environment for animals , so we decided when we first moved here to aquire some dogs. We then built our first kennel & run and obtained our first dog 'Shuska' a Siberian Husky who we purchased from a well known local breeder. We then took in 'Trika' and 'Shoulk' both Siberian huskies. The Siberian Husky is the breed used for racing events throughout the forests in our local area. We didnt venture into the racing of them though. When the eventual time came when all three Huskie's had sadly departed from us we decided to change our breed to The German Shepherd Dog.
We purchased our first G.S.D. 'Sam' and our second 'Maxine' was soon to follow.
With more time on our hands now we can devote all day to give them the attention they need so we decided to start our own small kennel with the intention of the occasional breeding from the best bloodlines to ensure continuing future improvement of the breed. In May 2006 we purchased our first quality female 'Nikonis Ratta' known to us as Larney from the well known established 'Nikonis' kennel. Larney was born on 15/3/06. Although Larney is of the longcoated variety she is very well bred and will produce some standard shortcoats within her future litters . Her Sire being the imported dog 'Sailent Vom Portaner.' Sch.H.2. who was joint top Sire at the British Sieger Show and twice world reserve champion . Larney's Dam is ' Graychelseas Hannah Vom Nikonis' . Hannah's Sire is the well known ' Nikonis Colin ' winner at crufts 2006.
Our priority is to produce well constucted dogs with excellent temperaments and characters which will be suitable for both showing and family companions.
Our choices of future stud dogs will be of the highest standard and will be Hip & Elbow X-Rayed & Haemophilia tested negative.
