Our Kennel is based on the Kent, East sussex border on what was my families farm. Having been interested in country sports, namely shooting and fishing from an early age, I have worked various dogs on the farm and as gun dogs over the years.
I was at the C.L.A Game fair watching the Working Gun dog display when I saw an unfamiliar breed of dog the " Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer" and I was hooked! Upon my return from the game fair I began research into the breed and shortly afterwards acquired my first dog.
They are very intelligent and affectionate and are consequently very trainable and make great companions. So long as they go to a good home, obviously I do not mind who buys one of my dogs (as a working breed they obviously require space and exercise) but it is as a working dog that i quietly hope the breed will flourish in the UK.
