Margaret Barron (1924-2008) established the Norwulf Affix and dedicated her whole life to improving the GSD concentrating specifically on improving topline and croups, but keeping temperment and character at the top of importance. Along with Tracy Wall they bred or owned 15 Champions to their credit including Best of Breed at Crufts 1993 and Top Breeders 2000 and 2001. Margaret Barron sadly passed away on 2nd April 2008 but left a legacy to which myself and Tracy Wall continue in her honour......

In 2009 N. Cherry gained the title of TOP BROOD BITCH overall and in 2010 we made her up to a Champion at the age of 7, along with her daughter DIVA the same year (N.Freedom For Her) making them the 16th & 17th Norwulf Champions. We also finished an honorable 6th Top Breeders for 2010 and 2011. Our current dogs are direct decendents of Margaret's first ever Champion and foundation bitch - Norwulf Enchantment.

I have been involved in GSDs and showing for 15 years, Tracy Wall for over 40 years. In 1996 I got my first German Shepherd N. Ysabele and this lead me to work at Norwulf kennels. It covered many tasks including showing, whelping, stud work, grooming, but above all I found that I had developed a great dedication, responsibility and love for the dogs and wanted to be part of improving the breed for the future.

In 2003 I was honnored to be granted a share in the Norwulf Affix and took home Cherry to secure the future breeding programes of Norwulf, along with Tracy's ever valuable guidance and help. I feel privaleged to have gained knowledge and experience from both Margaret and Tracy, both of whom have judged at the highest level CRUFTS. Tracy has more recently enjoyed appointments in Nova Scocia, Canada. It is our goal to take Norwulf into the future by upholding the type, quality and character that is already well-established within our breeding.

I have been an active Committee Member for the Southern Alsatian Training Society for 12 years and help run our Annual Breed Show along with Tracy, we also go to the Annual German Seiger Show whenever possible to see the top GSDs in Germany & study various bloodlines for ourselves which is a fantastic experience. We try to attend breed and health seiminars when we can to keep up-to-date with the endless task of trying to improve the GSD breed for the future.

Our dogs and puppies are well socialised and are raised in our home along with our children who play an important part in this. Our dogs are all hip and elbow scored including any Stud dogs we use including a clear hoemaphilia test. Our own dogs are KC DNA Profiled too. We put a great deal of thought into the pedigrees of any planned litters by doing our best to consider health and temperment first. We believe in using the best of what is available for us when it comes to bloodlines; we look to produce sound, well-balanced dogs in construction & health, temperment and character regardless of their eventual purpose because you have to be able to live with them first.
