My parents - Jan & Nobby Beckett have owned and bred afghan hounds since 1975 and whippets since the 1980s. Although my Dad died in 2003, Mum still has Afghans & whippets and shows on a regular basis - most weekends in fact.

I have owned my own dogs since I left home in 1980. I got my first whippet in 1986 - a Christmas present from my sister - Ann Beckett-Bradshaw, and in 2007 I branched out into the world of deerhounds. All my dogs are pets first & foremost, and showing is a hobby I very much enjoy.
