This is Harry. He was our first Dogue de Bordeaux. Harry came to us from Sussex Pet Rescue and they have retained his Kennel Club registration papers. So we cannot enter him for KC shows. But after a bit of pedigree research we are pretty sure we have figured out his breeding. Harry’s greatest pleasures are walking in the fields, jumping in streams and dozing on the sofa.

Dolly

This is Dolly. Her father is the famous Temple Felson who was Junior World Champion in 2003 and won many top awards on the continent. Her mother is Jerivindi Distinctive Dream who was rated top brood bitch for the breed in 2005, 2006 and 2007 by Dog World. Dolly is a well balanced girl with good angulation and free movement. She is very athletic and dynamic. She can run like the wind and loves chasing balls, rabbits and squirrels. Dolly was shown lightly and placed regularly at Championship and Open shows. In the Spring of 2007 she presented us with five beautiful puppies. She was a super mother and is now enjoying a well deserved rest.

Charlie

This is Charlie. His father Carlsbro Alarick has already sired two Irish champions. On his mother’s side, Charlie is a grandson of the famous and prolific sire Champion Upsy de l’Aube Rouge. Charlie has a very outgoing temperament. He has excellent bone, a beautiful correct head and a typical forbidding expression. Charlie thoroughly enjoys going to shows and was campaigned lightly during 2006 & 2007, winning three 1st, three 2nd and two 3rd places at Championship Shows.

This is Rosie. She is our home bred bitch, pictured at just 12 months. We are very pleased with her development so far. She is well constructed, very lively and athletic and has a beautiful smooth red coat.

We are based in East Sussex and have owned and shown pedigree dogs for more than thirty years. We became involved with Dogues de Bordeaux five years ago and registered a new affix, LIONDOR, for our new breed. This name is derived from the French expression “Lion d’Or” meaning Golden Lion. It seemed just right for our big golden red dogs.
