We live in a village just outside Oxford and have owned dogs for most of our married life. We came across the beautiful Coton de Tulear dogs when we went to Crufts and found them in the Discover dogs section.
We talked to and visited several breeders and were given lots of information and advice and began to gain knowledge of this breed. We have learnt that they retain their puppy outlook right into adult life. They are loving, funny, playful and have a huge sense of humour!
Our daughter in law is very allergic to all animals and this took a part in our decision to have a Coton. We always wanted a bitch because we would like to breed from her when the time is right.
Since we have had Phoebe we have been showing her and we have all enjoyed this new experience. We were lucky enough to show her at Crufts 2008 and felt very proud of her.
Lily came to live with us in November 2007 and has given us new insight into how playful the Coton is when they have a companion.
