ANSONA

We are a small select kennel, breeding all round gundogs; we aim to breed dogs of sound temperament, good conformation and good working ability.

We are breeders of the Bitch Breed Record holder in Weimaraners, Sh Ch & Ir Sh Ch Ansona Purdey, along with many other show title holders. We also have a team of Weimaraners that compete in the Pedigree Breeder Stakes competition, of which we were the overall winners at Crufts 2006.

Although Weimaraners are our main breed, we also breed the occasional litter of Pointers and also new to our shores, The Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer. We have bred the first Field Trial award winner in the breed and also the top winning show Slovakian on the continent.

We are very proud of our dogs and their achievements and we take our breeding very seriously, our litters are carefully planned for their temperament, type and working ability.

First and foremost all our dogs are pets, the fact that we are able to show, work or breed from our dogs just adds to the pleasure they give us.
