MAVISTAN

I live not far from J11 of the M5 in Gloucester with
my four Golden Retriever bitches- Megan..Phoebe..Ellie and Aimee-Lou..
I have owned this lovely breed for twenty six years. I bought my first bitch 'Kerry' in 1984 from a local kennel as a pet- but knowing what I know now she really was a lovely bitch with a nice pedigree. From the moment I took her home I knew then that I could never be without at least one or two! - I decided to have a litter from Kerry - From this litter I kept a bitch that I called 'Briarleigh Elsa' and thought that I would have a go at showing her - So I then took out my Affix which was 'MAYSTAN' ....Elsa and I had a great time in the showring and she won at all levels howevershe was accident prone and was'nt campaigned as much as she should have been - She was my 'once in a lifetime' dog and I had a bond with her that was so special, but sadly had to say goodbye to her in 1999 aged almost thirteen and I still miss her everyday. I kept a bitch called Abbi (Maystan Ballymoss) from Elsa's litter- and from Abbi's second litter I kept my beloved Chloe (Maystan Dawns Delight) who I have just very sadly lost aged nearly 14.... I also have my dear happy, easy going 'Megan' who is Elsa's Great Grandaughter now aged nearly 11 years.
I had a break from the showing and breeding side of things, and then in 2003 my enthusiasm started to return so I took out my new Affix 'MAVISTAN' and in 2005 decided to buy a new puppy from Elaine Bond who I've known for many years...... I named her 'Phoebe' (Trebell True Picture of Mavistan) and was and still is a breath of fresh air- She's amusing, loving and loyal. Phoebe had a lovely litter by Willowlawn Entent Cordiale JW. from which I kept my gorgeous Ellie (Mavistan Electra) who is the most lovable softest of Goldens - She just doesn't seem to be able to get enough attention!!!!!!
All my 'Girls' have individual personalities and are all an absolute pleasure to live with- I don't have litters very often but when I do my aim is to breed sound, healthy Goldens that conform to the standard and above all else have temperaments that make them perfect family companions. Puppies sometimes available to approved, permanent loving homes only.
My Dogs are hip scored and eye tested under the K.C. /B.V.A Scemes .....
