This is Merlot our little star.
Home bred and showing very well.
She is a handfull of mischief but we love her to bits.
She is a UK Champion and has 5 CC's all with BOB and three Green stars in Ireland. She was The Southern Bernese Mountain dog clubs most promising future star in 2005, and has come good now with age and maturity to gain her Championship. She has bred two litters to Kernow Ohso Special, Fou of the pups now have qualified for Crufts next year and are consistantly placed at Championship show level.. Do not hesitate to contact us if you require any information about our dogs. Please e-mail me on neelia@fsmail.net as I read this every day.

We live with three bernese at the moment and like to dabble in showing, with some success.
Our dogs are basically pets and as such are not always perfect for the show ring but they are here with us for life and we are happy to accept whatever awards may come our way.

Pepsi is 8 3/4 years old now and more or less retired from showing, We may do some veteran classes later on. She has bred one litter including Merlot. Her hip and elbow scores are good Hips:5;4 Elbows 0;0. She likes to show of her party tricks and can count!

Merlot is our little star. Home bred from Pepsi she has had a wonderful couple of years showing. Now 6 years old she has won her Championship, 5 CC's all with Best of Breed, Junior warrant, Show certificate of merit. Three Green Stars, BIS at the Southern Working and Pastoral show 2005, Most promising future star at the Southern Bernese Clubs BOTY in 2005, 1st and 2nd places at Crufts 2006, and continues to be consistantly placed at Championship level. She is a fire ball of energy, she managed to run me over in May 2006 and broke my knee!! Ever ready to leap into action she is Mums dog! usually when she is in trouble for something? Her hips and elbows are good: Hips: 7;2 elbows 0;0 and produced a lovely litter of 9 pups in oct 2006 some of whom are now begining to be shown and being placed well at Championship show level. Merlot had a lovely litter of 9 in Jan 2009 and we kept a bitch puppy, Chablis. :- Up date. Unfortunatly after loving her and having great fun showing her with success, due to rivalry with her Mum Chablis has been re-homed to a lovey couple and a 19 month old Newfie...on of the hardest thigs I have ever had to do was to give her up but she is settled and happier now in her new home with no pressure to vie for top dog status...Hugo the Newfie is happy to play second fiddle to her shenanagans...and take the blame for her naugtyness!!! Chablis took just one week to find a way through the fence to the fish pond that Hugo has never scaled...and she now lets him in to sit amongst the fish while she prances around outside denying her part in the breaching of the fences!!!
We now have a new member of the family in Vino. She is one of Melort's babies and at 5 months is looking good. She is so very different to Chablis and I call her my compensation puppy. It was so very hard to let Chablis go but I now know it was the best for everyone. We hope to show Vino in the new year and plan on making her debut at Manchester, she will be meeting her sister too there and it will be great to see them both together againher and

We usually have one litter per year and raise our pups indoors, much as we would like to think we could place as many as possible into show homes we realise that the bulk will go to pet homes and so temperament is of utmost importance followed by soundness. Our pups are handled every day and taken out for a couple of rides in the car. they get wellsocialised and see many different things before they leave for the new homes. They are endorsed on the registrations and we make every effort to ensure that we are available to new (and old) owners for help and advice at all times. These pups have no choice in being born or choosing their owners so we feel it is our lifelong responsibility to care for them. Hopefully we get it near enough right most of the time.
We love our dogs and they are what makes life such a rich tapestry of fun and tears!! Ron and I have been together for too long to count and we have owned or been owned by Bernies for the past 16 years one way or another. Before that I (in a different life!) showed GSD'S for many years with some minor success. Many lovely dogs have come and gone over the years and we hope to meet them all again at the bridge one day.

WE DO NOT EXPORT DOGS TO COUNTRIES WHO DO NOT HAVE AN ANIMAL WELFARE ACT IN OPERATION, AND A HEALTHY ATTITUDE TO DOGS. ALL OUR PUPPIES CARRY ENDORSMENTS ON THIER KC Reg All our new homes are extensivly vetted. You WILL be stuck with us forever!!
