I have owned Spinone for 11 years, starting with Gloria who was given to us by her breeder, the late Linda Collins of Wynsett fame. I needed another dog to keep our giant schnauzer, Hansel, company when my GSD died. Later that same year, Linda had a litter of Spins, she kept a bitch, Alice, & I took Lui home on the 18th December 1997. That was the start of my obsession with this wonderful breed. Coco came to live with us in 2003 at the age of 5, Ruby was born in 2005 & after we lost Coco earlier this year, Cleo joined our clan. Lui (also known as Sh Ch Wynsett Xcalaber) had a fabulous show career with Linda, he is still the male breed record holder with 15CCs & 6 RCCs to his name. Coco gained her stud book number winning a 2nd in a very strong Open bitch class at Birmingham National 2005, I retired her the following year. Ruby, my Ruby, well she has done quite well...... Usually well placed as a puppy & junior, both at champ & open shows, she won 7 PGB classes at champ show level & Best Bitch & Reserve Best in Show at the ISCGB Open show 2007. This year, after a quiet start in Limit, we've had a couple of 2nd places & then a 1st & RCC at SWKA champ show, so we're very happy bunnies at the moment. I started judging at Open show level a couple of years ago & have done & passed the required seminars run by the ISCGB of which I am membership secretary. Earlier this year the AHT announced that they had developed a test for CA, both Ruby & Coco were swabbed last year & have tested clear.
