Enjoying a holiday in Southern Ireland. Our girl is a gentle, wonderful dog, and a joy to live with. She made a fabulous mother looking after her babies.

We acquired our first Rhodesian Ridgeback, Oka, in 2002 and it wasn't long before we became totally hooked on the breed. We only showed her lightly due to the commitments of our young family. She has an outstanding temperament and is wonderful with our children.

In 2004 we purchased our second Ridgeback, Kojo, with a serious view to competing in the show ring, and he has met all our expectations. He won Best in Show at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain Open Show from over 100 entries in June 2006. This win followed a Best in Show win at Witney & District Open Show and final split for Best in Show at the Hound Club of East Anglia. His recent win in Limit Dog at Blackpook Championship Show in June 2007 from 11 entries has entitled him to a stud book number and lifetime qualification for Crufts. Kojo's most recent accolade has been winning his first Challenge Certificate with best of breed at the City of Birmingham Championship Show under judge Mrs Julie Bates. A very memorable day for the Dickson family.

Our latest addition to the family is Globalridge Sapphire (Saffy) a bitch puppy we kept from our last litter. She is full of character, very athletic, and a joy to be around. Her temperament is outstanding, just like her mother.

Above all, our dogs are very much part of our family enjoying limitless attention from our children, ourselves and visitors. They love country walks, and squirrel chasing. We couldn't imagine life without this unique breed of dog.
