Enjoying a holiday in Southern Ireland. Our girl was a gentle, wonderful dog, and a joy to live with. Oka made a fabulous mother looking after her babies.

Oka crossed over rainbow bridge on the 29th June 2012. She has left a huge void in our family and we miss her dreadfully - sleep tight our angel

Our homebred bitch Globalridge Sapphire (Saffy) who we kept from our first litter. Saffy was only lightly shown, but qualified for Crufts 2011.

Saffy crossed over rainbow bridge to join her Mum, Oka on 30th November 2012. Goodbye our beautiful girl.

Kojo pictured with his second challenge certificate awarded by all round judge, Mrs Eleanor Bothwell at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain Championship Show on Sunday 21st September 2008. He then went on to take Reserve Best in Show. The best was yet to come!!

We acquired our first Rhodesian Ridgeback, Oka, in 2002 and it wasn't long before we became totally hooked on the breed. We only showed her lightly due to the commitments of our young family. She has an outstanding temperament and is wonderful with our children.

In 2004 we purchased our second Ridgeback, Kojo, with a serious view to competing in the show ring, and he has met all our expectations. He won Best in Show at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain Open Show from over 100 entries in June 2006. This win followed a Best in Show win at Witney & District Open Show and final split for Best in Show at the Hound Club of East Anglia. His win in Limit Dog at Blackpool Championship Show in June 2007 from 11 entries entitled him to a stud book number and lifetime qualification for Crufts. Kojo won his first Challenge Certificate with best of breed at the City of Birmingham Championship Show under judge Mrs Julie Bates. A very memorable day for the Dickson family. His second was awarded at the Rhodesian Ridgeback of Great Britain Championship Show, judge Mrs Eleanor Bothwell.

Kojo's third challenge certificate with reserve best of breed was won at Crufts 2009 and awarded by Elina Haapaniemi from Finland making him a UK champion. Kojo has now retired from the show ring to do what he loves best - eating, sleeping and going for walks!

In 2006 we added Globalridge Sapphire (Saffy) to our family, a bitch puppy we kept from our first litter. She is full of character, very athletic, and a joy to be around. Her temperament is outstanding, just like her mother.

Above all, our dogs are very much part of our family enjoying limitless attention from our children, ourselves and visitors. They love country walks, and squirrel chasing. We couldn't imagine life without this unique breed of dog.
