It is with great sadness that i must announce that "our baby", Molly, was taken from us on 21 october 2007.
she escaped from our house and went chasing some sheep in a field close to us, unfortunately a farmer, the owner of the sheep and the land decided that leathal force was his choice of pest control and subsequently shot her dead. those of you reading this that know me personally, will know that this has had a devestating effect on me, and the rest of my family. Nothing will ever replace molly, she was a future star and had attained her irish title at only 18 months, not to mention her BPIB at Belfast champ show, GBAS and more recently Crufts 07. ALTHOUGH I WOULD GIVE ALL THIS UP, AND MUCH MORE, IF I COULD ONLY HAVE 1 MORE EVENING WITH HER SNUGGLED INTO MY HIP PERCHED ON THE SOFA AS SHE ALWAYS DID. thanks to everyone who took the time to pass on their sincere sympathy.
George

Allow me to introduce ourselves, my wife pauline, son (9yrs) joshua, daughter (4yrs) abigail and i george have been very fortunate that the gods decided we should be responsible for 2 (currently) GERMAN SHORT-HAIRED POINTERS, or GSPs as they are known. We live just outside Ballyclare, Ballymena, 10 miles north of Belfast.
Having just moved in to a new house almost 3 yrs ago we decided that now with an acre of land around us we could take ownership of our first family dog. having previously met a GSP some years earlier, it was easy to decide that the GSP was the right breed for us. (cause everyone is slightly exciteable in our house, fitting in perfectly with the temperament of ur normal GSP if there is such a thing). We found the champdogs website, and subsequently spoke to some breeders regarding aquiring a puppy. A very nice lady, Gill Roden (Keigame affix) helped us find our boy Max, sired by SH CH keigame modelman, (A boy she bred and campaigned), the dam a nice girl Tincroft charlottes web, from Mrs Sharon Hodgetts, Sharon allowed us to name him maximus decimus, max for short.
OF COURSE ONCE YOU OWN A GSP THEY KINDA TAKE OVER YOUR LIFE, so we got max a sister(well shes actually his half cousin, their daddies are brothers) a year later, symondsdean gingham, (molly), from Mrs Sheila Mercer, the dam symondsdean ugene, the sire SH CH Barleyarch Cricket at Keigame JW SHCM, owned and campaigned by Gill Roden.
As they say the rest is history, we started to show and started to win, (not cause we are so good at what we do , but cause we have 2 beautiful children, the canine ones i mean, max & molly). we have been so fortunate thus far with virtually every breed specialist praising our 2 kids, (sorry but they really are our children, we dont like refering to them as dogs, its almost derogatory). credit for their success must really be taken by their grannies, aunties etc, not the 4 legged ones, but the people whom bred their ancestors. You can see for yourself if you check their pedigree.
Molly seems set to overtake max, she really is a beautiful girl, and turns heads wherever she goes.
Please do stop by for a chat when we are at the shows, we love nothing better than to show off our new family members. both are dogs are micro-chipped, regularly vet checked etc, and will be eye tested, and hip scored shortly. we have been granted the kennel affix JOSABIERON . |
